as of 23 may, it’s been two years since I adopted mimas.
she’s gone from being the scraggliest cat, the last one at the pound before they closed:
to the cat who only came out at night and sat between the bannister and the wall all day:
to the cat who sat behind the bed in the corner of my room and licked most of her hair off:
tentatively allowing me to connect with her:
she’s been my constant study companion this year:
who is acutely aware of how much i adore her:

i’ve started painting for personal pleasure again. new exciting things. not really. but going to paint dogs & cats as well as people… it’s weird the different qualities the different paint can convey. first photo is acrylic and second foto is water colour. this is mimas, neil’s cat.
